The Board of Trustees has the general power to 1) control and manage the affairs, property, funds, business and policies of the museum; 2) disburse the museum's moneys and dispose of its property in fulfillment of its purpose; provided, however that the fundamental and basic purposes of the museum as expressed in the Charter of the Frederic Remington Art Museum, approved by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York on May 22, 1981 is followed.
