May 11 Art Highlights & Tea at the Remington Museum
Ogdensburg, NY — The Frederic Remington Art Museum invites the community to the next “Art Highlights & Tea” program on Saturday, May 11. Taking place on Mother’s Day weekend, this is the perfect way to celebrate all of the moms in your life and treat them to a memorable cultural and culinary experience at the Museum. The program will begin with a gallery talk by Museum Experience Manager & Educator Julie Pratt and Museum Docent Anne Skelly at 2pm to be followed by an elegant tea in the Museum’s parlors at 3pm. Julie Pratt and Anne Skelly will lead a talk focusing on Remington’s depictions of animals and North Country landscapes, exploring artworks featured in the current Centennial Exhibition.
The talk will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 11, at the Frederic Remington Art Museum in the Museum’s Addie P. Newell Gallery. The talk is free with admission to the Museum. Tickets to the tea ($15 for Museum members, $30 for non-members) also include admission to the Museum and the talk.
After the presentation, at 3:00 pm, a delicious tea will be served in the Museum’s parlors featuring sweet and savory traditional English tea specialties. The tea is provided courtesy of volunteer Fran Moore and friends. Please call (315) 393-2425, email info@fredericremington.org, or reserve seats for the tea through the Museum’s online shop.
Art Highlights & Tea is a long-standing educational and community program at the Remington Museum. Seats for the tea fill up quickly, so it is recommended to reserve spots early.
