Art Highlights at the Frederic Remington Art Museum
OGDENSBURG, NY - The Frederic Remington Art Museum will begin its annual lecture series, "Art Highlights and Tea" with a talk by museum director Laura Foster at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2017.
Foster will talk about the museum's very fine acquisitions and loans of original art by Frederic Remington and Sally James Farnham in 2016. At 3 PM, a delicious tea will be served, courtesy of
rg or order online to reserve places at the tea. The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members.

The second talk will be presented by Robert Selby, a professional illustrator and artist. His talk, "Why We Celebrate the Horse in Fine Art” will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 8th. Selby will focus, on Frederic Remington's and Sally James Farnham's equestrian sculptures, in a larger art historical context. Further talks will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 8th and Wednesday, April 12th.
The talk is free and open to the public, presented in the museum’s Tiffany Room.

The Frederic Remington Art Museum is located at 303 Washington Street, Ogdensburg, NY 13669. The Museum is open October 15 through May 15, Wednesday through Saturday, 11 am to 5 pm and Sunday, 1 to 5 pm and May 16 through October 14, Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, 1 to 5 pm.
